The Chennai - Conference City

Madras renamed as Chennai in 1998, Tamil Nadu’s capital city is the ‘gateway to the south’. The city was created by the British over a period of 150 years by amalgamating adjacent villages and hamlets that surrounded Fort St. George which they founded in 1639. Madras was also the capita of erstwhile Madras presidency, one of the premier presidencies of British India. True with its historical tradition, chennai is cosmopolitan city where there are no languages barries or cultural incongruities for visitors from any part of the world.

Politically stable, and economically well off, the state of TamilNadu is the ideal destination for business or pleasure seeking travelers.


The Chennai Trade Center - Conference Venue

A joint venture of India Trade Promotion Organization, Govt. of India and Tamilnadu industrial Development Corporation (TIDCO), Govt. of Tamilnadu, The Chennai Trade Centre is set up at a prime location in the Chennai metro at Nandambakkam.

Adjacent to St. Thomas Mount in an area of over25 acres of land with exhibition halls and support services, CTC has three halls. The Trade Centre is architecturally and technically designed to be a “state-of-the-art” Exhibition Complex. The Air – Conditioned halls with no intermittent pillars or columns, are eminently suitable for multi-purpose use of organizing exhibitions, conferences, conventions and conducting other trade, commerce and industry-related events. All the halls are inter-linked and Hall No. 3 is connected with convention centre.

The Convention centre

To provide a platform to reflect the warm hospitality of the people Of Tamilnadu Trade Promotion Organization (TNPO) has constructed mammoth convention centre with the state-of-the Art facilities in the sprawling Chennai Trade centre campus, Farmed against a back drop of two hillocks, the Chennai Trade Centre (CTC) campus is close to the international Airport. There are Quite a few five star Hotels in close vicinity. Most of the important commercial centers of the city are very near to the centre and are easily accessible in a short drive.
